About Us - An Introduction to the work of Teens in Crisis
Formed in 1993 Teens in Crisis is a Christian based charity that seeks to practically demonstrate the Christian faith in particular, but not exclusively, by relieving the need, hardship or distress of young people by providing advice, support and counselling services.
Working with young people aged 11-21 and their families, Teens in Crisis offers a range of services through counselling services in 8 secondary schools and seven other counselling venues, we also operate counselling services to three statutory organisations and a homelessness mediation service. We also provide a telephone helpline. We are a multidisciplinary staff team of 40, with 8 paid staff, 6 trustees and 26 volunteer staff.
In addition to our own work Teens in Crisis works in close partnership with many other agencies both voluntary and statutory including Connexions, to offer a comprehensive service to young people and families in distress.
